BRANCO is an imported Dutch-bred stallion and was the first stallion in the U.S. to be fully approved as a Belgian Warmblood breeding stallion. His grandsire on his sire's side is RAMIRO Z who stood at the world famous Zangersheide stud and has been judged the most influential stallion on jumping performance bloodlines in the last 50 years. His grand sire on his dam's side is AMOR who was a foundation stallion for the Dutch registry. His dam UGONDA is also the dam of the twice Olympic participant FREUD (s. REBEL IZ) showing under the name RADISSON DIAMOND.

BRANCO'S dressage career lasted from 1987 until 1995 under three riders. He attained 14 championships including one at the Wellington Equestrian Festival in 1993 and was second in Horse Of The Year USDF first level in 1988 with a 70%. He sired 3 Horse Of The Year offspring and is the only BWP/NAD stallion to have attained that status.

BRANCO'S outstanding conformation with long neck and short back give him a natural balance and accompanying grace that few stallions can match. His gaits have been judged as "10" in competition and he passes on to his babies his wonderful fluid movements. BRANCO has sired many futurity winners and first premium foals and his broodmares are passing on his lovely gaits.

In 2002 BRANCO was the sire of two of the national winning Two-year olds and the grandsire of the 3rd place winner. He was the sire of the 9th placed broodmare at DAD and the grandsire of the 7th placed yearling colt and the 4th placed two year old filly at DAD.

In 2003 BRANCO's daughter, Datoucha had the highest score at the Keuring. He was 2nd grandsire of the national winner of the two-year old futurity, Blue Bayou B, who was also Horse of the Year for the USDF for 2003. He is the proud sire of the newly approved stallion Addison.

In 2004 BRANCO continued his broodmare production record as two of his daughters produced the winning yearling and the 2nd place colt for 2004.

In 2005 BRANCO was the sire of Cinnamon B Elite mare candidate and the grandsire of Fortune B the reserve champion colt (score 80) and sire of the reserve champion filly Fancy B (score 81). He is the proud grandsire of Blue Bayou B approved stallion for 2005. Branco passed away in 2006.
