JOSHUA is a son of the KWPN preferent stallion, Grand Prix dressage and jumping competitor, and USDF Hall of Fame inductee, Roemer. Like his sire, he possesses superior athletic ability coupled with the legendary "Roemer" rideablilty.
He was bred, trained, and shown in his younger years by Windy Ridge Farm in Pennsylvania. Under Suzanne Reggio, he competed in dressage through Intermediare I, winning USDF All-Breeds (KWPN/NA) Reserve Championships at Prix St. Georges and Intermediare-I, as well as the PHR Silver Stirrup Award at I-1 in 2000. After a hiatus, he is now in training in Maryland with one of his new owners, Kim Murphy, and beginning to make his presence known once again in the dressage show ring.
His outstanding temperament makes him not only a a willing riding partner both in and out of the show ring, but a joy to work with in hand as well. He is a proven sire, passing along his superior temperament and work ethic, lovely movement, and refined modern type to his offspring. In 2007 and 2008, he was listed among the USEF leading dressage sires. |
